With sincere condolences, we announce the passing of Shirley Marie Williams-Simmons. Sunrise January 20,1950. Sunset, November 11, 2024.
Ms. Williams-Simmons was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and she attended William M. Raines High School. She proudly served her country for over a decade in the United Stated Army, and dedicated her life to helping others. Her passion for giving back , especially to fellow veterans, defined her generous spirit and lifelong commitment to service.
Shirley leaves behind two daughters, Shana Williams and Sheree Mendez, as well as seven cherished grand-children, and seven great-grand-children, who will deeply miss her.
A memorial service to honor Shirley's life and legacy will be held on November 21, 2024, at 12Noon, at Serenity Christian fellowship, 1781 Art Museum Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32207. family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate her life of compassion, strength and service. There will be a repass for the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to $BeyondYouLC, Shana Williams, in honor of Shirley's commitment to helping others.
