Sarah Mae Gardner

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sarah Gardner will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:00AM, at Woodlawn Presbyterian church, 3026 Woodlawn Road Jacksonville, FL 32209. Mrs. Gardner passed away October 18, 2024. There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to funeral service. The interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park  2600 Ribault Scenic Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32208. 

Mrs. Gardner was born on June 14, 1927, in Americus, Georgia.  She later moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Bob Gardner, Jr. To this union 10 children were born: Barbara Gardner, Bob Gardner, III (deceased), Sharron Goldson (Louis-deceased), Katie Scott (deceased), Theodora Scott (Harold-deceased), Evangeline Febles (deceased), Rolfe Gardner (Sandra Elaine), Theodore Gardner (deceased), Donna Gardner (deceased) and Vonna Robinson (Vincent).

Sara was the faithful wife of one and the loving mother of ten. She graciously tended these duties as placed on her by God and she showed her children how to love unconditionally. For this cause we are eternally grateful. What an example!!!

Sara worked a number of years at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church as a daycare worker. She later sold Avon products for over 40 years, achieving multiple awards, certificates and honorable mentions. Sarah gained her wings on October 18, 2024. Sarah loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of all, she was committed to her faith and her church- Woodlawn Presbyterian Church where the current pastor is Reverend Don Johnson. In addition to her family members already mentioned, Sarah is survived by a number of other loving relatives and friends.
