Miss Donna Lanee Shaw

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Miss Donna Lanee Shaw will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2023, in the chapel of the mortuary. Miss Shaw passed away November 22, 2023. 

Donna was born on April 30, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the union of Eddie and Barbara Shaw. Donna graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland, Ohio, in the class of 1981. In 1982, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida with her father. During her early adult life, Donna was inspired to be an entrepreneur. She purchased and operated a business called "Lem Turner Sea Food".  Donna operated the business for several years before moving on to her next adventure. 

Donna had an interest in learning and living in other cultures. This interest led her to travel and live in Israel for several years.  She would often return  to Florida to visit with family and friends. Donna returned to the United States in 2007 to live with family. Due to an illness in 2016, she entered into a long term health care facility, and remained there until her transition.

Donna Lanee  Shaw is survived by her loving family: step-mother, Ruth Shaw; siblings: Eddie (Ella) Shaw, Jr., Vincent (Renee) Lockett, Darius Shaw, Wendy Ayers, and Kya (Brandon) Daniels; aunts: Everlina Campbell, Louise (Calvin) Gilmore, Joanne Sykes, and Ruby Shaw; nephew, Eddie Shaw, III; cousin, Rochelle Moore; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
