Maurita Helen Blount Johnson

Funeral Services for Mrs. Maurita Johnson will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at New Beginnings Ministry of Jacksonville, 1836 E. 11th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Mrs. Johnson passed away on June 14, 2023. There will be a viewing in the chapel of the mortuary on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm.

At the request of Mrs. Johnson, she will be laid to rest prior to her Celebration of Life Service at the church. The committal service will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2600 Ribault Scenic Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32208, at 11 am. Then the Celebration of Life Service will take place at 12 Noon at the church. Those desiring to attend the committal  service will assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 am. There will be a processional from the cemetery to the church immediately following the committal service.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving and devoted family: husband, Daniel  B. Johnson, Sr.; children: Shaari Blount, Shaniq Greene (Brian), Sheri  Williams (Dexter), Daniel B. Johnson, Jr., Danna'zia Johnson, Danyaiah Johnson, Daniell Mincey, Matthew Norris, (Shadonna) and Ivory Thomas (Brenn); a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; Mother, Willie Mae Blount; father, George W. Blount; brothers, Lucious Tyson and Shannon Blount; sisters, Suzy Tyson, Valerie Griffin (Nard), Gwendolyn George (Alfred), Tasha Blount and Nicole Blount; a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
