Henry Stephens

Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Stephens will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00AM in the chapel of the mortuary. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Mr. Stephens passed away on October 29, 2024.

Henry Stephens was born March 9, 1925 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Henry Stephens and the late Alberta Stephens. He attended Stanton High School. He later joined the US Navy where he served as an admiral cook. After leaving the Navy, he was later employment as a butcher at C&C, Daylight, and A&P grocery stores.

Henry was a member at Grant Memorial where he enjoyed singing. He had a passion for drawing and needlework.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his wife Zenolia Stephens; daughter, Stephanie Stephens; his parents: Henry and Alberta Stephens; sister, Kate Smith; and brothers: Ernest Stephens, Curtis Stephens, and Willie Stephenson.

Henry leaves memories to be cherished by his loving family: son, Henry Mark Stephens; nephew/caregiver, Willie Nathaniel (Elvira) Stephenson; niece, Andrea Tisby, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
