Funeral Services for Deacon William Henry Young, Sr. will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Philippian Community Church, 7578 New Kings Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32219. Deacon Young passed away on October 20, 2023. There will be a viewing at the mortuary on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 5pm-7pm. and at the church on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Family and friends will assemble at the church.

Deacon Young, affectionately know to family and friends as "Duffy", is predeceased by his wife, Florence Young. He is survived by his loving and devoted family, children: Clayton (Gwen) Young, Louis Adams, William (Cheryl) Young, Jr., Darrell (Janelle) Young, and Adrienne (Vasco) Eagle; siblings: Dewey and Gary Whitehead, Joann (John) Mallory, and Barbara Brown; grandchildren: Latasha (Vernon) Williams, Clayton, Christopher, Tyrone, Darius, Darrell and Donovan Young, Vasco, III and William Eagle; a host of other loving relatives and friends. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 N. Edgewood Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
