Funeral Services for Deacon Louis Clayton Goldson, Jr. will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:00AM, at Philippian Community Church, 7578 New Kings Rd, Jacksonville, Florida, 32219. There will be a Viewing at the Mortuary, Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.

Louis Clayton Goldson, Jr. was born on June 16, 1947, to the union of Louis Clayton Goldson, Sr. and Lillian Ramsay, in Jacksonville Florida. He received his education at the Old Stanton High School. 

In summer of 1965, Louis met the love of his life, Sharron Gardner. They later married on December 10, 1968 and have been married for 55 years. To this union, they had five wonderful children. He worked at Florida Machinery and Foundry and later retired at Owens Corning Fiberglass after 29 years of service in 2015. Affectionately known as "Joe" to his family and friends, he loved spending time with his family and watching Jeopardy. 

Louis Goldson, Jr. gained his wings on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, Frank Goldson and Melvin Goldson; sisters, Louise Goldson, Margaret Ann Goldson, and Martha Brown. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Goldson, Willie James Goldson and Bruce Goldson; sisters, Delores Johnson, Barbara Jean Goldson - Ansar (Hamin). 

Joe leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted wife of 55 years of marriage, Sharron Goldson; children:  Anthony Goldson, Sabrina Mahone (Kenya), Deidra Johnson (Milton), Michelle Robinson (Reginald) and Petrice Dunbar (Jeff). He leaves and cherishes his grands, great grands, and great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and loving friends.
