A Celebration of Life Service in Memory of Mrs. Beverly Ann Engram Wilkes will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Philippian Community Church, 7875 New Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219. Mrs. Wilkes slept away quietly on May 2, 2025. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 10:30 AM Saturday morning, May 10, 2025.
A life long resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Wilkes was a 1971 graduate of Jean Ribault High School, and a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, where she was crowned "Miss Clark College" her senior year. Mrs. Wilkes would go on to work for a number of Fortune 500 Companies including J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Fifis, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Durham Bus Services.
A dedicated member of Philippian Community Church for more than 45 years, Mrs. Wilkes is predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Joseph Wilkes; parents, David McAdo Engram and Thomasina Broome Engram and her brother, Deacon David Engram. She is survived by her sister, Maxine R. Engram; sisters-in-law, Gail Engram, Mary Wells, Aretha Wilkes, and Maxine Zapata; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving relatives and dear friends.
