Betty Lee Houston Brown

Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Lee Houston Brown will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00AM, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 954 Kings Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. There will be a VIEWING, Friday, September 8, 2023, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the chapel of the mortuary.       

On September 2, 2023, Betty went home to be with the Lord.                                                                   

Mrs. Betty Lee Houston Brown was born April 17, 1941 to Willie and Mrs. Annie Bell Houston in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local public schools of Duval county, graduating from New Stanton Senior High School-Class of 1959. At an early age, Mrs. Brown accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church for over 50  years, serving as a member of Usher Board #1. She retired from Unijax and Duval County Public Schools where she served as a School Bus Monitor. She was also a home based seamstress for many years.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by both parents, her late husband  Leonard Brown, and son Adrian Brown. She leaves to cherish her fond memory her daughter, Renae Brown; Daughter In-Law Barbara Brown; grand children: Sheldon Siplin, Sr. (Katina), Shaunda Siplin, and Danny Heard; Five great-grandchildren; Aunt ,Willie Green; Nephews: Eric Houston, Sr. and Kevin Huffin, Sr.; God Sister, Geneva  Green; Special Friend ,Wanda Arnold.;  a number of other relatives and friends.
